This Dymo Labelwriter 450 Turbo Label printer is a very cute exiguous printer with just as neat software for labeling on a Cd called Dymo Label V8. This printer has to be used with a computer and is exclusively powered by a mains power adapter and comes with a Usb cable, a quick start guide, a roll of address labels and a head cleaning card.
The layout of the Label V8 is very pleasing and the formatting icons are along the top with the compose window to the right and three tab selections which includes ready-made labels, all the objects required to make a compose and then the address book to the left.
Dymo Printer
The first tab has mostly address and shipping labels which also include layouts that feature symbols and instant place-holders for other text. There is one item under the Specialty/Retail heading and it is the Cd label that will cover about one-third of a Cd. Included under this heading is a group of instant layouts which allow curved text to fit on the label. There is also an additional one heading under this tab for instant layouts for the curved arrangements. The last that is found under this tab is three file portfolio labels, one badge label, and a large group of multi-purpose labels along with Vhs/spine labels.
The second tab which is called the "Designer" view has the feature of dragging an object to the label and then double-clicking. The properties can be altered by double-clicking the result field that you want to print. Some of the objects that can be altered are listed below.
1. You can import addresses from your email address box.
2. You can type fixed text into a static text box.
3. You can choose any start whole and increment you wish to set the self-operating counter for serial numbering.
4. You can set your date/time stamp in 12 or 24 hour clock.
5. You have eighteen dissimilar barcode formats to choose from.
6. You can choose from a range of line thickness and grayscale interior fills in the shape object.
7. You can insert a picture file or Windows clipboard contents with the image object.
8. You can use the circular text object to print dissimilar arcs of text.
9. You can quickly entrance a gallery of 94 symbols.
There are a few quirks about this label printer mentioned below.
1. The approved Zoom control is partnered with the zoom slider that magnifies but doesn't help unless you have poor eyesight or a monitor that is outsized.
2. The Mirror Image is an additional one one. This choice doesn't yield back-to-front text but only produces upside-down text facing the original way.
The minimum font size is 4 point and the maximum font size is whatever will fit into the label you want to print. The printer's speed is around twelve seconds to print ten quarterly address labels. If you knock off the two seconds it takes to download then you are talking about maybe one label per second. This seems to be pretty good!
